It is a small animated gif that explains step by step the way I use for create a caricature work. Several people came but asked how I created caricatures. So I made an example for you ... Not totally, it would be a bit long but it explains a little bit ...
Obviously I use photoshop. I often call my work mixed media because normally half is drawn and the other half photomanipulation.
For a caricature work, I most use these tools in general:
1 - I chose my theme and my images that serve to photomanipulation and model of character.
2-I create my caricature model by photomanipulation
3 - I draw my character based on my model for the colors and the expressions. This take a very long time. Sometimes when I feel lazy. I do not design clothes that I do indeed give them a drawing by drawn over it. But not on this one!
4 - When my character is good, I create accessories and scenery using my pictures and brushes.
5 - Then, I put my character in the scene and it only remains to add some effects and filters.
My caricature work was completed
Here are my codes to find you in my gallery:
Photomanipulation: A little drawing, but mostly pictures.
Mixed Media: Half half drawing pictures.
Paintings or drawings: Very few images and almost any drawn or painted digitally
you are so talented Isabelle. someday i will have to try to imitate you. (notice i said try hahahahaha only you can do what you do. i would probable foul it up anyway hahahahaha)
Thanks a lot Philippe! It removes a bit of mystery but it's fun to see the progress! I have not put all the steps because this gif was too heavy. But it still gives a good preview!
